How To Transition Your Wardrobe For Spring
It’s technically Spring, but the weather, at least in Sydney, doesn’t seem to have gotten the memo yet. Although there’s a certain spring vibe in the air, we’ve got a little while to go before we can confidently bust out the dresses and prep our toes for sandals. BUT, fear not, this doesn’t mean you need to be stuck in a sartorial rut and regurgitate the same ol’ winter trends. There is a way to mix and match certain items in your wardrobe to keep things exciting and weather-appropriate.
This edit showcases pieces to wear for now and later, and mix back with exisiting pieces in your wardrobe that are feeling a little stale. Making little swaps, such as using oversized shirts as a “shacket” over tanks, and using blazers and vests instead of coats, will give you a sense of the new season without committing too soon to trends that will be around for the next six months and beyond. Adding a bright colour here (cobalt blue and pink are a good starting point), and a fisherman sandal or creamy-hued denim there, will reinvigorate the way you get dressed in the morning. I swapped jeans for a skirt this week and felt like a new woman! Worn with a knit and sneakers, the look was still winter-ready but took advantage of the rare but glorious sunshine.
If you’re in the mood to shop but don’t quite know where to start for the new season, I hope this helps…
