Christmas Gift Guide - Under $50

You guys, it’s time. The first of November signifies Christmas to me, and I’m definitely one to get in early and clear the list before shopping anxiety takes over.

Throughout the last few months I’ve kept a list of ideas and mentions that my children, husband or family may have hinted at and am now slowly going through them with enough time to plan my shopping attack. I do a large amount of my Christmas shopping online so I definitely am on high alert for sales and offers, as well as keeping tabs of things which may sell out quickly.

I’m starting off my gift guides with a price point that caters for a large range of people you may be buying for this year — teachers, carers, Secret Santas, co-workers, household helpers, neighbours… this list is endless. My strategy for gift-giving is pretty simple — buy what you’d like to receive, even if that’s as simple as an amazing lip balm or as indulgent as a great block of chocolate. If there was ever a time to be a little frivolous and just buy what you love, no matter how big or small, it’s now. When you give yourself a budget and think of all the things you’ve bought and rated this year, the task is actually enjoyable and simple. If you’re raving about something and are a repeat purchaser, chances are someone else in your circle will love it, too, so trust your gut and remember that what’s inside your own cupboards/cabinets/wardrobes/pantries are the best inspiration for what to give. For example, I’m a diehard Laneige lip sleeping mask fan, I have bought it for years and swear by it, so it’s also my go-to small gift for friends and family.

Right, enough waffling, here are some of my favourite picks under $50 right now — and I will warn, get in quick if you love something because things are already selling out!
