I’m not going to pretend I find buying for men particularly exciting, because truthfully I never have, but here are some failsafe ideas I always stick to when I do have to buy for the men in my life (husband, brothers-in-law, etc)…

• Think about what sport they’re into and find stylish accessories that are applicable, i.e. socks and hats.

• Beachwear is always a good idea — boardshorts constantly need updating so you can’t go wrong with a chic new pair.

• Grooming products such as luxe sunscreen and hair styling products are always well-received and needed (even when they think they’re not!).

• Birkenstocks are a foolproof sandal for men, but only when they’re well looked after, so don’t hesitate to buy him a fresh new pair.

• Travel accessories such as packing pouches and overnight bags are such a lovely and useful gift to receive.
