Christmas Gift Guide — My Wish List
There’s definitely a theme with my Christmas wish list this year, and that revolves a lot around sunshine. I love dressing in summer — the accessories get bolder, the lipstick gets brighter and everything just seems to look better.
I actually have homewares on my mind and am knee-deep in looking at outdoor furniture and accessories due to a backyard upgrade, but that certainly isn’t easy shopping, so instead, I’ve focused on some more accessible fashion, home and beauty buys that I think would make lovely gifts to give and receive. Here’s what I’m thinking:
Christmas is a really great time to experiment with makeup and take advantage of gift sets and travel sizes available for the festive season. A neutral eyeshadow compact is such a failsafe item, and I’m heavily influenced by Emily Weiss’ recent Instagram pick of an awesome brick-coloured lipstick by Glossier.
Perfumes may seem predictable, but I am super fussy with scent and am always on the hunt for a fragrance that smells soapy, fresh and kind of clean. Glossier’s You is definitely this (I’m a forever fan), and I have high hopes for Maison Margiela Replica’s Under The Lemon Trees.
Give me all the jewellery. Kidding. Kind of. I’ve documented my love of heart-shaped pendants before, but I’m also still after the perfect gold mini hoops and some affordable version of a tennis necklace…. lots on offer at great price points, thankfully.
I have, rather oddly, always had an obsession with dry vermouth-style drinks and I’ve heard good things about Bizzarro Aperitivo, a small-batch, locally-made aperitif I’m desperate to try.
I’m very keen to finally bite the bullet on a Dragon Diffusion tote, such a great everyday bag, but the question is now, which colour?
I love Sophie Harding’s artwork, such joyous paintings and great use of colour. I would love one of her pieces in our home soon.
Ok folks, let’s start hinting and passing on links, shall we?
