The Winter Shoe Styles You Need

To cut to the chase, we have a lot of shoe options this season. A medley of flat, high, semi-high, pointy, square… and that doesn’t even scratch the surface. I’ve narrowed down the 7 styles I think relate best to mum-life, work-life and beyond, but I’m well aware I’m missing a few alternate trends doing the rounds right now. Platforms are an important one to mention, but I’m not giving a lot of focus to them right this second with good reason. To me, they work better in summer, and aren’t exactly everyday (or everyone) friendly, so I’ll give them credit when credit is due!

In the meantime, have a scroll through my picks of ballet flats (I like satin), sling-backs (square-toe and a stacked heel get my vote), Mary-Janes (flat, in cream preferably), long boots (Toteme thanksverymuch), furry-detailed (Birkenstocks do this best), retro-trainers (Sambas, be mine) and loafers (a little chunkier and less embellished than seasons past), and relish in a little comfort and warmth this season. Let’s go!
