Wear Now, Wear Later
We’ve made it to (almost) August, which means the sun is shining a little brighter, and the taste of spring is near. I’m well and truly over winter shopping, but I still need some new pieces to see me through the next few months in style. What to do? Make sure your new purchases tick the boxes for the “wear now, wear later” category.
Yes, it’s still cold, but these next couple of months allow you to mix and match seasonal basics from both winter and spring to create a unique hybrid. Long skirts with boots and finely knitted tops, oversized shirts with mini skirts and a coat, maxi skirts with cardigans… you get my drift. You can show a little leg, swap the wool for cotton layers and even retire the socks for a peek of ankle right now.
Melbourne labels Henne and Elka Collective do this style of dressing particularly well — their layering pieces are really handy to have right now. I’m also loving Cos’ relaxed take on denim and a welcome return to all sorts of skirts. Can’t wait to wear an A-line mini again when the weather allows.
Ok you guys, let’s get shopping because a new season is almost (kinda sorta) upon us!
