Wardrobe Classics, With a Twist
Focusing on wardrobe classics doesn’t always have to mean uniform-style dressing. As much as staples such as blue jeans, blazers, trench coats and leather belts always have a place in your wardrobe, you really don’t have to succumb to a very stereotypical definition of what it means to dress classically…
Unique shapes, seasonal colours, unexpected accessories and updated silhouettes can still all be deemed as classic, without looking, well, boring. Forever items can be exciting, you just need to know what’s worth updating each season.
I’m obsessed with all the affordable handbags by Madewell at the moment, this one looks identical to much more expensive versions of a woven tote. I also love the new iteration of stripes on offer, with Polo Ralph Lauren making a preppy comeback, and Mango always delivering on the fun-stripes front. And I really love the choice available when it comes to pants — silky, sporty, serious. What a refreshing assortment after a few seasons of questionable tailoring doing the rounds.
This edit is full of classics, but with whole lot of personality. Let’s shop.
