84 Spring Accessories You Need

I started this edit thinking I’d get to 50 items, but as I searched (and fell in love), I knew I had to keep going… and going, and make myself stop before school pick up!

I’ve just come back from a beachside holiday where the importance of accessories really stuck out to me. Personally, when I wasn’t making much of an effort with my clothing, I still felt polished thanks to an assortment of earrings (various sized gold hoops), sunglasses (I’m pretty into white and creamy frames at the moment), and cute sandals, and it reminded me of the special part accessories do play in spring/summer dressing. It suddenly feels very right to add coloured jewellery, raffia bags and printed hats to our everyday wardrobe, even if the weather we’re enduring isn’t particularly inspiring, and there is nothing more uplifting than adding a playful touch to your outfits courtesy of a burst of colour or unexpected texture.

I used to love styling still-life pages of accessories when I worked in magazines, and I suddenly remembered why when putting together today’s edit — there really is nothing more fun or exciting than a fabulous piece of jewellery or a great pair of shoes. Perhaps if we all put our collective shopping powers to good use, we can make La Niña a thing of the past.
