All The Sandals You’ll Need

Flat sandals, just like sneakers, are very much my jam. I add a few pairs every season and wear them so frequently during spring/summer, I can justify the cost per wear and seasonal upgrades pretty easily. I also feel a good pair of sandals will last for many, many years — I get them re-soled if they’re looking worse for wear — as the really classic and hard-wearing types transcend seasonal trends.

As I’ve briefly mentioned in recent edits, you can either go chunky or slimline with flat sandals this year. There are the minimal leather, naked-feet style which look very European and The Row-ish, while thicker soled mules and velcro straps are still dominating in a stylish-orthopaedic-shoe way. Birkenstocks have had a bit of an upgrade, but honestly do they even need to? Whether you opt for a classic Arizona two-strap, or a newly revamped big buckle/Milano style, you simply can’t go wrong…

Ok, I’ve covered every style, budget and colour variation in today’s edit, so I’m hoping you find what you’re looking for and buy up before the next heatwave hits. Let’s go!
