Need a Fancy Dress? I’ve Got You

Going out dresses minus the racewear vibe? That’s my specialty. I don’t know why, but the whole races aesthetic leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so I’m always trying to go for the opposite look when I have somewhere fancy to be.

A good frock is the starting point, obviously, but hair and accessories have a lot to do with it, too. For the purpose of this edit though, and the fact that school holidays are still lingering (!!!), I’ve focussed solely on good, fancy-ish dresses for now.

I love that strapless necklines are back but in a fresh way — column dresses and structured bodices look really modern now, while slip dresses are definitely getting the lingerie feel thanks to strategically placed lace detailing. Halter necks are also back, and cut-outs are still around but certainly less obvious than what we saw last season. Mini, midi and maxi lengths are all for the taking depending on your mood and occasion.
