Evening Clothes That Keep You Warm(ish)

I’ve had a dilemma recently where I’ve needed dressy clothes for a few events coming up but I’ve hated everything I’ve found in stores and online. I don’t know if it’s me or what’s “in fashion”, but I’ve really struggled with getting my head around paying for clothing I don’t feel comfortable in. Also, kind of like the return of jelly flats, I can sometimes appreciate a trend without having to buy into it and love it, you know?

After putting the question out there to some of you over on Instagram, and doing a very deep dive myself, I think I have found some winners to try. There’s a big emphasis on bare shoulders, slinky fabrics and maxi dresses right now, but if that’s not your thing, I’ve also found some embellished skirts, metallic separates and silky suiting which fits the bill nicely.

These guys mostly have long sleeves or long lengths which will keep the winter shivers at bay, important because I hate being cold, but even worse, looking cold! Just add a long coat or a boxy leather jacket and you’re good to go.
