Comfy-Cool Holiday Basics

Weeks (actually, months) nursing a back injury has seen my usual style go out the window and practicality be at the forefront of my styling choices of late. To be honest, it’s boring as hell and this edit has been inspired by a shift in perspective. I don’t want to be in activewear all holidays but I need to be comfortable and ready to go from mum-mode to physio appointments with ease. Enter, an off-duty style that is equal parts sporty, classic, tailored and chic.

There are some excellent options if you don’t want to commit to rigid denim every day but do want to experiment with basics that blend comfort with a certain level of cool-girl style. Elastic-waist pants, drapey knits, slip-on shoes and bomber-style jackets all make for an excellent holiday wardrobe that requires little thinking (and restricting). Here’s what I’m eyeing…
