Autumn Styling Ideas

Bored of your Autumn wardrobe already? I hear you. Sometimes all it takes is a few new basics, an updated pair of flats or a different silhouette to your norm to instantly make you feel like you’re new-season ready.

I like the idea of sticking to a simple colour palette (creams, blacks, blues and reds, it seems), and having fresh textures and shapes do the heavy lifting in terms of modernising your look. The pieces below aren’t reinventing the wheel — we have the usual denim, knitwear, shirts and outerwear as options — but it’s all about mixing and matching to find a style that works for you and your lifestyle. Along with the usuals, I’m excited by sleeved maxi dresses (with an elegant heel for the evening), cropped jackets (slightly oversized at the shoulders), all types of flats (I really do mean all — sneakers, Mary-Janes, loafers…) and elasticised pants as a great weekend/sports-mum option.

It’s a good time to shop. Let’s go!
