Coats, Coats, Coats!

Time to invest in a coat? You betcha. I’m going to cut to the chase and say how much you spend on a coat depends entirely on your budget — you can get a great coat for $300, or closer to the $1K mark. They’ll both do the job and last the distance, as long as you take care of them properly (dry clean regularly, hang on a padded or non-flimsy hanger so they don’t lose their shape and spot clean any marks immediately). Pure wool is always best and have a lint shaver or comb on hand for any pilling. Got it? Good. Now, what to buy…

You’ll see from this edit that there isn’t much black around, simply because there really isn’t much black around! I found a lot of camel, and bright colours such as greens, pinks and blues, but the shape is entirely up to you. Masculine-styles (slightly oversized and boxy on the shoulders) is a no-brainer this season, as long as you don’t go too oversized, while the choice is yours between tie-belts and double-breasted buttons. Honestly? It’s all good! Lots of choice and lots of price points, just make sure you don’t snooze on purchasing as this weather ain’t here to play!
