Christmas Gift Guide — Tweens & Teens

Just quietly, I have been dreading this one. Tweens and teens confuse me, intrigue me, and if I’m honest, scare me senseless. I don’t pretend to understand their world, but some keen researching (read: TikTok stalking) has given me the confidence to come up with a suitable gift guide that I’m pretty chuffed with, if I do say so myself.

Technology and gaming aside (I know nothing about that world and thankfully, neither do my kids!), I do have an almost 9 year old who often schools me on age-appropriate dressing, so I feel pretty well-versed on the style side of things… Apparently anything with a frill, skirts, and blouses are hideous, while shorts, anything sporty, tie-dye and slip on shoes are acceptable. I’ve seen a lot of nylon cross-body bags, crop tops, bike shorts and retro surf designs do the rounds, while nostalgic appliances such as milkshake machines and popcorn makers seem to be well-received by all age brackets.
