It’s taken all of my willpower not to fill this edit with new-season trends and buys, because spring/summer is looking a hell of a lot better than the tail-end of winter is!

If you’re also totally over your winter wardrobe and itching to try something new, my advice is to take baby steps, because I can confirm it’s still cold and the weather doesn’t exactly call for open-toed shoes and bare legs just yet…

What you can do as a starting point, is slowly bring a bit of colour into your outfits, switch up heavy coats for lighter outerwear with layers, and opt for some casual pants as a difference to all the denim you’re likely sporting. I also love the idea of loafers and ballet flats replacing all of our sneakers, and mules as an alternative to a boot or pump.

We’re almost at the finish line, and then all the new trends (polka dots! Bermuda shorts! boho! preppy! I could go on…) will be yours for the taking. Let’s all be patient and in the meantime, have fun with these 54 August Style Updaters I’ve found for us.
