The Jewellery Edit

As I was researching this edit I realised a few main things about jewellery at the moment. One, silver is back, like it or not! Two, happy, fun, non-serious jewellery is replacing more dainty pieces of late — think smiley faced beads, colourful stones, resin, flower motifs — you get the drift. And lastly, it’s a free for all in terms of whether you prefer a statement earring, necklace or bracelet. There are loads of options whatever you preference, price point and style.

I love sentimental jewellery and tend to wear the same pieces every day, but I am getting more into switching up my necklaces and earrings depending on my outfit and mood. I also love a statement piece for evening, and the best part about that is they don’t have to be expensive to look amazing. In fact, some of my favourite occasional pieces are from the smaller and more affordable brands.

If you’re remaining faithful to fine gold jewellery, the assortment is endless. Online-only brands are producing wonderful pieces to wear both daily and for special occasions, and smaller fine and demi-fine brands have wear-forever pieces in abundance. It’s really a great time to update your jewellery pieces and have fun with accessorising. Let’s go!
