What To Wear To a Daytime Event
A lot of you lucky ducks are off to the tennis, and parties, or holidays with tennis and parties! It was glaringly obvious from my DMs that I needed to focus on daytime event dressing, so here we are!
To be honest, I am not one for the whole race-day "vibe” so I do find smart-casual daytime events quite tricky, too. You don’t want to look too formal, too “done”, too uncomfortable… but to have a sense of effortless polished style certainly takes the right outfit and accessories.
This season, I’d personally opt for a cute mini shift-style dress, or tailored shorts and a blouse or tank. They feel fresh and youthful and event-appropriate. I also think separates are having a moment and can often feel a bit cooler than a dress at these type of events (although dresses are always failsafe and much easier to style!).
Whatever you choose, make sure you have fun with your accessories — if the sun is shining so too should your jewellery, handbags, shoes and headwear. Raffia, colour, eclectic shapes… a lighthearted approach to accessorising is just what your outfit will need. Game, set, match!
