My February Picks

To quote a term Pandora Sykes used in one of her recent newsletters, I’ve got the shoppies this month. The term refers to the moments when you have a serious urge to shop, and that moment for me is right now. As I always admit, I don’t shop very often, but when I do, I go through a pretty long and arduous process to find exactly what my heart desires…

I’m in the middle of a pretty scorching Sydney summer, but I’m actually after some trans-seasonal pieces that will work both now and a little later when it starts to cool down. I don’t mean heading straight into autumnal trends too soon, more just dipping my toe into denim separates, cool sneakers and knitted fabrics to give me a sense of newness and excitement.

What do I have my eye on this month? Brown accessories and shoes — a much more flattering accompaniment to white (like these heels and this great bag) , the perfect pair of slouchy but slimline white jeans, earrings that aren’t just plain gold, and a touch of lace in both dresses and skirts.

It’s time to go shopping!
