My Fave Finds From The Outnet

If you don’t have The Outnet on your regular rotation of online stores to browse, I hope this edit changes your mind. Without sounding like a sponsored post (it’s not), I’ve wanted to highlight how excellent The Outnet can be for your shopping needs for a while, but it wasn’t until I was browsing for myself recently that I felt the push to pass on my shopping tips to you.

You see, I’ve been a longtime fan of The Outnet, probably since its inception back in 2009. In case you aren’t aware, it’s essentially the online outlet version of Net-A-Porter, stocking past-season items at heavily reduced prices. What I personally love about the site is that it reminds me that trends aren’t always necessary. You’re not going to find the latest viral outfit here, but you may find an off-season designer coat that will stand the test of time. Same goes for shoes, dresses, bags…

Like most multi-brand sites, browsing can often be overwhelming, but here’s how I tackle it best and often find truly excellent buys that I love for years and years.

  • Head to the “Just In” section at least once a fortnight to check out their latest drops. They tend to focus on a few designers at a time and it’s a real thrill to see a favourite pop up.

  • The Outnet is usually my go-to site when I need something off-season, e.g. a coat in summer or a swimsuit in winter. An excellent option if you’re looking for a piece for an upcoming holiday or event.

  • Although their prices are already reduced, they do often have sales, so be sure to always look out for the red font. It’s not uncommon for them to provide an extra 30 — 40% off discounted prices.

  • I have a rotation of designers I always look for when on the site so am constantly using the search function. Isabel Marant, Maje, Sandro and Ulla Johnson are just a few of my faves.

  • Delivery and returns are as reliable as NAP, however packages can take up to a week or more to arrive. The $30 shipping fee stings a lot, but is often worth it when you work out the RRP savings.

Here are some pieces that stood out when I was recently browsing.
