Mini Skirts For Everyone

Before you dismiss mini skirts as "not for me," hear me out. Mini skirts are undoubtedly having a moment, but they really aren’t as intimidating as they may seem.

First off, the impact of a mini skirt is all about how you style it. The skirt itself is rarely the focal point — it’s the outfit silhouette it creates that makes all the difference. If you're like me, you're probably not into the micro skirt trend, nor are we talking about a super short, straight style here. In my opinion, the most flattering and comfortable mini skirt for any busy woman is a slightly A-line shape that’s either mid or high-waisted.

This universally flattering silhouette has always made me feel confident, regardless of my waist size. I’m also loving the more sporty, casual drawstring styles as a refreshing alternative to shorts.

When it comes to styling, as always, it’s best to play with opposites. Pair your mini with a boxy tee, oversized shirt, longline vest, or any top that isn’t too fitted to balance out the proportions. Add any of this season’s flats — sandals, mesh ballet shoes, or retro sneakers — and you've got a look that feels both modern and flattering.

Here are some great styles to try.
