Lightweight Jackets For Right Now
Cold in the morning, hot during the day, cooler at night… welcome to Autumn! Lovely weather sun-wise but an absolute cluster fuck when it comes to getting dressed, am I right? It’s definitely all about finding the right balance with your layering separates. One thing I do love about this time of year is mixing seasonal pieces for a really flattering look, for instance I always think sandals look great with jeans. Other opposing pieces of clothing that work really well together are long sleeve tops with mini skirts, a boxy tee and tailored pants or a slouchy knit over a dress. A bit of skin with a bit of covering up is the winning formula when the weather changes so much during the day.
Which brings me to today’s edit — lightweight jackets. Step away from your coats and don’t even think about your puffer jackets just yet. This is the perfect time to re-introduce blazers, trench coats, oversized shirts and lightweight quilting into your wardrobe, because you will need these guys on hand to keep you warm (but not too warm!) and to tie a look together with a certain nonchalance and ease.
