Handbags Under $500 Worth Buying

Embarrassingly, there was a time I’d scoff at any sort of handbag that didn’t have a designer label. I’ve never been into huge logos, but I did and still do appreciate high quality and luxe leather accessories. In my defence though, I still use costly and designer bags from over twenty years ago, so they certainly pay themselves off in terms of cost per wear. However, I’d say we’ve reached a point in terms of trends, and also common sense, where you really don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on a handbag if you’re looking for both style and function.

In the last few years, we’ve seen brands such as Vestirsi, Polène, DeMellier, and Rylan Studio, just to name a few, make waves with their approachable take on high-end handbags, and now beloved chain store brands have followed suit with a very impressive offering of quality leather bags each season. I’ve found excellent bags in this edit from Mango, Arket, Cos and Witchery that could easily be at a much higher price point, and while all of these bags are under $500, most are actually well under $300.

I’m really excited to add a hobo and tote to my collection this season, and I know these picks will have just what I’m looking for, at a realistic price point. Take a look and see.
