Christmas Gift Guide — Little and Big Kids

It’s making me sad to think my kids are almost over the stage where cute toys and clothes like these would make them happy come Christmas morning. If you have young kids and are still in this phase, enjoy it while it lasts!

I wanted to make this a realistic representation of kids and what makes them happy — including the odd Pikachu and Super Mario motif — because if you have a child between the ages of 5 and 10 you will know keeping these sort of characters away from them and their personal style is somewhat near impossible. I’m all for kids looking like kids — lots of colour, lots of fun.

If you have small or big kids to buy for this season, I highly recommend leaning in to the pure joy of it all. Do they really need another Squishmallow? Of course not, but will they absolutely love it? Of course they will…

I really rate (and often request from grandparents) practical gifts such as pyjamas and slippers, and swimwear and pool robes every year — always handy and well-received. If you’re stuck for gift ideas, I think an indestructible water bottle (that’s the Yeti Rambler), a good set of magnetic tiles (one of the best toys to ever exist, in my opinion), a cute first watch, and new bath accessories are always failsafe.

Buying for kids doesn’t have to be stressful, in fact I really, really love it. I hope you do too with today’s Gift Guide Edit.
