Activewear/Everyday Wear
Whether you’re in activewear for function or form, no judgement here. It’s actually been my style resolution for many years to stop wearing leggings when I’m not exercising, but the pull of comfort and ease is often too great. So, keeping in mind most of us wear some form of activewear as everyday wear, this edit reflects proper working out clothes and accessories, as well as comfortable day wear.
For exercise purposes, I’m pretty loyal to Lululemon, specifically their Tightest Stuff leggings for cardio, and Base Pace or Align for everyday wear. I like Nike and Uniqlo for tops, and am pretty open to any form of outerwear and jumpers, as long as the comfort and ease of movement is there.
As I’ve stated before, I can do without the heavy logos on activewear, and prefer to keep things strictly sporty. I’m currently loving all the nude tones, and on the opposite end of the spectrum, bright colours on offer, and think mixing and matching tonal pieces makes for a very cute look. Rugby tops and half-zip sweaters are a nice alternative to plain jumpers if you need an update.
I’m not going to pretend I can inform you on functional pieces such as sneakers and workout bras — totally individual! I like Asics and On Running shoes at the moment, and my favourite sports bras ever are from Target, so you do you!
A wide range of price points and styles are on offer below, so if you need an update, or simply want an excuse to start working out regularly, there’s never been a better time…
