There is a silver lining though. This is probably the first year of my daughter’s life where we’ve actually shopped together and bonded over fashion and beauty trends, and it definitely isn’t all bad news. She can now shop at more “big kid” stores such as Cotton On (they have 3 x XS in some styles) and Sportsgirl (they also do 4 x XS), and it’s actually quite fun to see fashion through her eyes. The cute crew socks, the ribbons in the hair… obviously I draw a very big line on certain brands and styles, but overall we are heading into a good place! I wish I could say the same about my son, but he’s still very much all about sportswear, 😒.

I always take this Christmas Gift Guide very seriously and do my best to represent a range of different fashion, beauty, food, sports, craft, games and accessories categories. I know every kid is different, but I’m hoping at least one of these picks will satisfy the teen or tween in your life — I know I’ve already ordered a few things.

Some of my fave products this year include The Guinness World Records 2025 Book (this is always so well received by both my kids), oversized hooded towels (forever useful), Bubble Skincare (affordable and age—appropriate skincare) and useful gadgets such as a film camera, phone printer and waterproof speaker.
